The course has been the Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs combined with Comprehensive and Integrated Project supports people with disabilities in Danang city coordinate with UDA to organize and training the course. The first class includes 43 students who is recruited or nominated from organizations in Danang.

Mr Nguyen Hung Hiep, deputy director of the Department of Danang Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said: “The social work with the mind and enthusiasm has been able to deliver results, but add more society knowledge will bring more effective. This course will be an opportunity to learn more skills and new ways to serve society for everybody who are doing in social work area. At the end, the purpose of developing social is human”.

Mr Mark Rasmuson- Director of Disability Support Program in Da Nang, shares the same opinion: “I know that all the participant of this program were carefully chosen. I am very glad, if after this course, I have a chance to meet and cooperate with the participant for helping the disability people on the specialized service”.

Social work is a respectful job in many countries on over the world and was taught in many universities from the beginning of 19th century. In Viet Nam, The Prime minister has approved Project 32 for developing Social work in the 2010 – 2020 period. Since then, the government need to train and re-train 3500 officer, employees and collaborators with primary, Secondary, colleges and universities level. Thus, the demand for qualified human resources professional social work in our country is very large. In Da Nang, Dong A University (UDA) was selected to jointly organize training for staffs in social work sector for the administrative units in the city.
