UDA 2024 Job Fair: Providing Thousands of Job Opportunities for Dong A University Students

On April 12, Dong A University held the 2024 Job Fair, featuring over 70 companies signing cooperation agreements and interviewing students for employment.

As the 16th annual event organized just before graduation, the 2024 Job Fair saw participation from leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Small and Medium Enterprises Association, the Hai Chau Business Association, the Da Nang Software Enterprises Association, as well as representatives from domestic and foreign direct investment companies in the Central region, along with numerous students from the university.
The UDA 2024 Job Fair attracted more than 3,000 registrations and interviews across 58 direct recruitment booths. With 6,510 job openings provided by 72 companies, this year's fair set records for both the number of participating companies and the available positions compared to previous editions.
"The UDA job fair is an important link in the cooperative model developed within the ecosystem of training—students—businesses. This is where companies 'select' suitable personnel, where students showcase their skills and potential, and where the university connects employment opportunities," said Mr. Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the University Council.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hoang, Director of the Da Nang Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, praised the organization of the 2024 Job Fair by Dong A University and the active participation of businesses, which contributed to the success of the city’s “5 No’s, 3 Yes’s” program, especially the “Job Creation” initiative and the targets for employment resolution in 2024.
He also noted, "The UDA 2024 Job Fair has demonstrated the spirit, responsibility, and deep concern of Dong A University for its students, from recruitment and training to job placement, specifically through the collaboration with 72 participating companies, including 58 companies involved directly and 14 companies providing recruitment information for various positions."
During the opening session of the UDA 2024 Job Fair, Dong A University signed 12 additional cooperation agreements with business partners and associations participating in the training and human resource provision programs in fields such as economics, tourism, technology, and languages. This collaboration not only expands the university's network of domestic and international business partners to over 500 entities but also provides practical career experiences for students across various disciplines.
Among the agreements, the collaboration with Placement International (PI) is dedicated to students and alumni from the Tourism program at Dong A University, offering paid internships and high-quality training for durations ranging from 6 months to 1 year in the United States. Through these practical experiences, the program aims to enhance students' academic knowledge in their fields and improve their professional skills through standardized training programs while learning essential skills from diverse cultures and multinational corporate environments.
Additionally, the Da Nang Software Enterprises Association will facilitate a "bridge" between Dong A University and companies in the software industry in Da Nang through internship programs, career orientation sessions, research projects, and scientific conferences and workshops. This collaboration aims to build a strong network for sharing information, experience, and resources in the software field among agencies, businesses, and individuals in the IT sector in Da Nang.
Alongside direct interviews for candidates in the IT field, VIoT Technology Company also provided educational and research equipment for the LoRaWAN network project, developing smart city applications based on the Internet of Things (IoT) platform and LoRaWAN connectivity for the Engineering department at Dong A University.
In parallel with the 58 active interview sessions at the recruitment booths during the UDA 2024 Job Fair, workshops on job-seeking skills were held by representatives from participating organizations. The event not only attracted alumni and final-year students but also provided second- and third-year students with opportunities to engage in preliminary interviews, enabling them to secure internships at their desired companies.
It is noted that in May, Dong A University will also organize the UDA 2024 Japan Job Fair, responding to requests from Japanese corporations and local businesses.
