On August 13, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City signed a decision to award the Excellent Certificate for 10 years of implementing Directive No. 38-CT/TU dated September 5, 2014, from the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, which focuses on continuing to innovate the work of emulation and commendation from 2014 to 2024. This award was given to 16 collectives and 4 outstanding individuals.
In this context, Dong A University is honored to be the only higher education institution recognized with the Excellent Certificate from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for its outstanding achievements over the past decade in implementing Directive No. 38-CT/TU.
Previously, in 2023, Dong A University was selected by the Central Government and the People's Committee of Da Nang City as the only exemplary institution in the higher education sector to receive an excellent certificate for implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW dated November 4, 2013, from the Central Party Executive Committee regarding “Fundamental and Comprehensive Innovation in Education and Training to Meet the Requirements of Industrialization and Modernization in the Context of a Socialist-Oriented Market Economy and International Integration” for the 10-year period (2013-2023).
In 2023, Dong A University also completed the educational quality accreditation process over two consecutive cycles. In the second cycle, it achieved 99 out of 111 criteria, accounting for 89.2% of the required standards according to the new criteria set by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Dong A University has also been awarded the Excellent Unit Certificate by the People's Committee of Da Nang City for its achievements in science, technology, and innovative startups in Da Nang. It is the only institution in the higher education sector to receive a commendation from the Da Nang Labor Federation for its excellent care of workers’ lives in 2023.
Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at Dong A University is honored to be the only higher education unit to receive the Excellent Certificate from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for outstanding achievements in promoting and mobilizing voluntary blood donation in 2023. This is the third time the People's Committee has awarded Dong A University for its blood donation activities, making it the first higher education institution to receive three certificates from the People's Committee for community service activities.
