Students are employed by Japanese enterprises right after graduation

On July 8, Dong A University signed comprehensive collaboration with Japanese enterprises in terms of training and receiving students to work in Japan.

60 students of Nursing received training and worked at Aijinkai and Seichoukai social health corporations

At the ceremony, 60 students majoring nursing were officially employed to be trained and work for Aijinkai and Seichoukai groups (Japan).

Since 2019, Aijinkai and Seichoukai groups will appoint nurses, health workers and physiotherapists to participate in training 60 nursing students each year at the laboratories with Japanese standards. They will train students in areas of rehabilitation and care. This is a premise to help students be able to participate in the internship program in one year as a nursing assistant at the hospitals subordinated to Aijinkai and Seichoukai groups in Japan and work after graduation.

Also, students will be supported regarding to accommodation, scholarship, living expenses and Japanese programs to integrate and develop. Until July, 2019, there have been 512 students of Dong A University employed by international enterprises. In 2018, 186 students doing internship and working in Japan earned 1500 USD/ month (internship) and from 2200 to 2500 USD/month (working).

Doing internship at Japanese hospitals is a good opportunity for students to experience and improve their working skills in rehabilitation, healthcare, treatment and practice in different principles and knowledge, caring skills.

Especially, the internship program in Japan is converted to the equivalent of practical credits in the nursing curriculum of Don g A University. Japanese hospitals regularly assess the results of students’ attitudes and abilities, making sure that they will have access to advanced healthcare technologies and have opportunities to practice their expertise effectively.

Until now, with the trust from Japanese partners, Dong A University has developed to be comprehensive partnership creating career value chains for students of faculties.

Mr. Luong Minh Sam - the Vice Rector of Dong A University shared: “Choosing Japan as the major partner and the output market for Dong A students is considered to be the vital issue of our university as well as the society.”

These collaborations not only create more jobs for students but also make contribution to improving the standards of nursing staff to support caring for the community health in the Central region within 5 to 10 years. With qualifications certified in Japan, students will also have opportunities to work in other countries such as America, Canada, New Zealand and so on.

By June 2019, Dong A University has become a strategic partner providing high - quality human resources for 82 partners. The University also has comprehensive collaboration with 5 major Japanese cities including Yokohama, Maebashi, Chiba, Fukuoka and Shizuoka to improve job skills for students. In addition, academic collaborations with universities such as Kouseikai Nursing Institutions, Nanakamado, Kibi University have created more opportunities for Dong A students.

Previously, on July 7, within the framework of the Vietnam Investment Promotion Conference in Tokyo (Japan), Dong A University reached a comprehensive collaboration agreement on training and employment in Japan for students majoring tourism and food technology with Cookbiz Group as well as local food service companies.
