Cooperating to organize Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLCT) in Da Nang and support training - employment connection for repatriating workers

(VietTimes) - On the morning of May 18, The Association of Connecting and Supporting Repatriated Workers (ACSL), An Duong Group Joint Stock Company and Dong A University held a cooperation agreement to organize the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLCT) and support training, employment connection for repatriated workers with the witness of Da Nang Department of Education and Training.

According to the signed content, the parties will organize free connections and support for international students and returning workers who are members of ACSL, and at the same time, help students with Japanese, Korean and Professional career of Dong A University returning home after working in Japan, Korea developing career with suitable jobs at Japanese companies, enterprises and Japanese and Korean FDI enterprises which have investments in Vietnam and in the network linked to ACSL.

The organization of the event aims to create the best conditions for students and employees to have the opportunity to get Japanese language certification, and at the same time connect job opportunities for workers in Japan as well as repatriating workers to work in Viet Nam.

According to Mr Bui Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Association for Connecting and Supporting Repatriated Workers (ACSL), the number of Vietnamese workers working abroad expiring to return home from 2015-2018 is estimated at 110,000, each year similarly. with nearly 30,000 people. Despite being assessed as having good qualifications, skills and a sense of discipline, many people after returning home still struggle to find suitable jobs despite being trained and skilled. Meanwhile, many domestic enterprises are in shortage of skilled labor, high qualifications. Enterprises, especially FDI enterprises in Vietnam, are always in need of recruiting people with skills, experience, foreign languages and especially industrial working styles.

"Therefore, ACSL aims to be able to support up to 2% of jobs for those workers in the early years" - Mr. Bui Xuan Quang said.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Nguyen Minh Thanh - Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Education and Training, said that Da Nang now has more than 200 IT - foreign language centers with the function of training, retraining and examing certificates in foreign languages. However, the centers with enough competence to be licensed to conduct examination are not many.

JLCT (Japanese Language Capability Test) is the name of Japanese Language Proficiency Test for Foreigners of the Japanese Government. Although the certificate has been recently recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Justice in recent times, due to its popularity, about 30 countries in the world have successfully organized JLCT.

The exam is organized 6 times a year in odd-numbered months, with fast results delivery. JLCT evaluates candidates across the globe based on the requirements of vocabulary system, grammar, reading comprehension, listening comprehension. The test is designed by Japanese language professors, so it is realistic and universal.
