Applications of Technology in universities and colleges

Professionals shared a lot of methods to improve online self - learning skills, technical solutions integrated with Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and so on.

On Oct 31, at Dong A University (Danang), the Association of universities and colleges in Vietnam organized the conference on “Applications of Technology in universities and colleges”.

Among the participants, we would like to welcome Assoc. Prof. Tran Xuan Nhi - The Vice President of the association, PhD. Le Truong Tung - Head of the club of non - public universities and colleges (subordinated to the association) and over 50 other delegates who are education specialists, leaders of universities and colleges in Vietnam.

Making a speech at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Tran Xuan Nhi expressed his hope that the contents shared in the conference about technological updates and advances would be widely spread in many universities and colleges.

PhD. Le Truong Tung said: “Technologies in education can be considered to include educational technologies, IT and management technologies. This is a technological base on which universities and colleges can lead the society effectively.

This is now the stage for significant changes including changes in university education.

Digital technology revolution influences on all economic and social fields as well as others which are in need of changes.

If we draw a diagram to illustrate the differences between improvements of education and those of economic and social fields, it can be easily seen that education always goes behind social and economic fields.

However, thanks to digital transformation, everything has changed. This is a big chance for the educational system to be applied with technologies that lead to rapid changes.

With the introduction of the new University Education Law (No.34/2018/QH14) taken effect since July 1, 2019, the role of self - control in university education is more focused. More precisely, universities and colleges can decide what to teach and how to educate. Thus, technological transformation can result in advances in teaching and learning productivity.

According to PhD. Phan Ngoc Son - the Rector of Dong Nai Technology University, the human resources will be more versatile in the future.

The changes of technology are unpredictable so that people should also have an ‘attitude’ towards digitalization, which means that they should get to know more about technology and be ready to change.

Last but not least, other experts and specialists also shared many more solutions in the conference in order to give answers to problems in education and to standardize the process of university education activities in the stage of technological revolution.
