The "Youth Capacity-Building Training & Model APEC 2024" was held at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) from July 4 to July 5. This year's program featured youth representatives from 14 member economies in the Asia-Pacific region, invited to participate alongside Taiwanese youth.
As the representative of Vietnam, Nguyen Dang Loc gained valuable insights and experiences from this training course.

During the opening session, Dang Loc became familiar with the goals and activities of APEC through presentations by experts. Not only did he enhance his understanding of important regional issues, but the Dong A University student also felt the opportunities that came from being "immersed" in the learning and cultural exchange environment provided by the program.
Following the presentations from experienced experts working on Taiwan's APEC initiatives on the first day, the central activity of the course, the "Model APEC" conference, officially took place the next day.
Through this conference, students experienced the practical activities of an international agenda. Each delegation from the member economies had one minute to introduce themselves.

Sharing his experience at the mock international conference, Loc enthusiastically recounted the feedback he received from international friends: “The most memorable moment of this trip was receiving compliments after my presentation. One Taiwanese friend even came up to shake my hand and praised me for my good presentation, which left a strong impression on them regarding the skills of the Vietnamese representative.”
In addition to the opportunity to showcase his knowledge and language skills, participating in this model conference also provided Loc with valuable advice and lessons from experts.
Having previously known and researched information about APEC, Loc gained a deeper understanding of APEC's activities and its importance for regional cooperation and its goals in developing the Asia-Pacific region. The Vietnamese delegation representative, Nguyen Dang Loc, shared: “Participating in an international program like this for the first time allowed me to exchange ideas with delegates from different member economies and explore Taipei together during the program.”
It is known that on the afternoon of July 5, the Dong A University student also had the chance to visit tourist attractions in Taiwan with the delegation.

With this unique opportunity, the "Youth Capacity-Building Training & Model APEC 2024" has undoubtedly become an unforgettable experience for Nguyen Dang Loc, a student from the English Language and Culture Department, in his four-year journey to pursue his dreams at Dong A University.
