Through the spirit of learning gained from experiences, on December 8th, the practical translation program with foreign speakers was organized by the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture at Dong A University as an exciting "challenge" to conclude the advanced translation and interpretation module.
This was also the last class before the start of the internship period for K20, the first batch of students from the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture at Dong A University.
It is known that the advanced translation and interpretation module equips students with basic principles in the field of translation, the classification of forms of translation and interpretation, and the methods and techniques of Korean-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Korean translation. By the end of this module, students can confidently apply these skills to practice translation and develop a greater passion for this field.
At the beginning of the course summary session, the students received valuable experience in advanced translation from Dr. Phan Hoang My Thuong, the Head of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, and Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Anh. They also engaged in hands-on practice during the session, allowing the students to observe and gain insights into the methods they had learned.
Next, students participated in practical sessions of direct translation between Korean-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Korean with invited Korean guests: Mr. Cha Seok Choi and Ms. Park Hye Jin, along with faculty members from the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture.
At the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, students are regularly provided with opportunities to experience classes of study and interact with foreign experts to enhance their language skills. The intertwining of classes and experiential activities always creates an exciting learning atmosphere that attracts and engages students.
Through each module and experiential activity over the past nearly four years, K20 students at Dong A University have gained valuable knowledge in their pursuit of the Korean language. This will also serve as a solid foundation for the first batch of students from the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture to confidently embark on their internship period at the end of December 2023.
