Currently participating in an exchange program at Wakayama National University in Japan, three students from the Japanese Language and Culture Department at Dong A University are not only striving to improve academically but are also actively engaging in extracurricular activities and asserting themselves in an international learning environment.
1. Nguyen Truong Duy, Dinh Nhu Minh Chau, and Vu Thai Son—three students from the Japanese Language and Culture Department at Dong A University—are participating in a one-year exchange program at Wakayama National University in Japan.
Prior to this, all three students excelled in receiving scholarships for the program, with Truong Duy awarded a Japanese government scholarship, while Minh Chau and Thai Son received full scholarships from Wakayama National University.
With these scholarships, all three Dong A University students have had an incredible opportunity to continuously strive in their studies and actively participate in extracurricular activities, experiencing Japan's advanced education system and its unique cultural traits.
Most recently, the three of them participated in an essay contest titled "Wakayama from the Perspective of International Students," organized by the university. This contest provided international students a chance to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences about the university and the city of Wakayama after their time studying there.
After competing against many other international students, Vu Thai Son achieved an outstanding third place. Additionally, Nguyen Truong Duy and Dinh Nhu Minh Chau also received certificates of appreciation from the President of Wakayama National University.
The achievements of Nguyen Truong Duy, Dinh Nhu Minh Chau, and Vu Thai Son are a clear testament to the efforts and learning spirit of Dong A University students in both domestic and international educational environments. These accomplishments also demonstrate that Dong A University students are actively pursuing their goals of studying together and embarking on a meaningful journey in the Land of the Rising Sun.
2. In July of this year, the Japanese Language and Culture Department at Dong A University selected Do Phu Cong and Kieu Van Thuong as the only two Vietnamese students to participate in the summer exchange program at Wakayama National University, Japan, which will take place from July 16 to July 22, 2024.
During this exchange program, both students had the opportunity to learn and improve their Japanese language skills, engage in cultural exchanges with international peers, and, most importantly, reunite with senior students from their university in Japan.
