Le Duc Thanh, a student from Dong A University's Faculty of Tourism, won the first prize in the “K-Food Festival 2021” competition.
Mr. Ahn Min Sik - Consul General of Korea in Da Nang awarded the First prize Certificate of the contest to Le Duc Thanh
The Korean Consulate General in Da Nang is holding a competition with the topic "Korean food promotes health overcoming Covid-19" for Vietnamese people living in Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai.
The final round was held on December 8th at Dong A University's standard kitchen practice area, with 6 exceptional contestants.
Participating in the competition for the first time, as a second-year student like Duc Thanh, it was such a very special experience.
The work of chicken stew with ginseng and Korean-style chestnuts convinced the jury to win the First Prize after a thorough study of the topic and strong performance in the areas of dish selection, ingredient preparation, professional cooking process, beautiful decoration, and applicability of the dish.
"Winning the first prize at the K-Food Festival 2021 is certainly a pleasure to me," Le Duc Thanh said after receiving the contest's first award. This will also boost his confidence in competing in future tourism-related competitions.
He also gives a special thanks to the Organizer, the Korean Consul General in Da Nang for organizing this breathtaking contest, so that students in Da Nang can participate and learn from the program.
Previously, students from the Faculty of Tourism at Dong A University also demonstrated excellence in some competitions. Especially, On Thi Phuong Linh who won the first prize in the Guilding Star season 4.
