“Impressive, picturesque, unique…” are words given to 27 photo collections in the first round of the photography contest “The beauty of Danang city’ 2019 organized by Dong A University.

In order to diversify the ‘stories’ expressed by photos, each photo collection includes 20 photos showing clearly the people - the sight - the culture of Danang city under the perspective of students. A lot of picturesque photos of Dong A University, which has peaceful sights and fresh environment in the heart of the bustling city, were also selected.

Started at the beginning of 2019, the contest is attracting about 1000 students to participate with more than 200 photo collections (4000 photos) widely shared on social media. After the Organization Board including photography and video experts from Vietnam and foreign countries marked, 27 photo collections were chosen to exhibit and 10 of which were presented with stories to Organization Board.

Through the presentation with over 100 photos captured at lots of destinations in Danang and impressive corners in Dong A University, Prof. PhD Le Huu Khoa - Director of Postgraduate Department of Charles De Gaulle 3 University, France and also the leader of Board of Examiners said: “Even though photos taken by non-professional photographers, the quality of those photos are highly appreciated with the creation in content as well expressed meanings. The photos were captured at every corner in Danang, especially in dong A University, which are all eye-catching. Through the photos, we can see that UDA students have learnt a lot of media skills in the stage of technology”.

At the contest, a lot of collections were displayed with various contents and creative perspectives of the young in terms of a worth-living city and an innovative dynamic university. The Board of Examiners evaluated and analyzed the quality of photos by four categories: the title, the art, the expression and the story. This is truly a lever for students to get more experience and motivation to attend the second round on the 7^th of March.

In the second round (individual), students will have opportunities to show their interests in photography through their own photos. The closing ceremony of this photography contest will be organized on March, 26.
