Journey to Build Dreams for Students by Dong A University's "Employment Teacher"

From September 21 to September 27, Mr. Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the University Council at Dong A University, has a busy schedule filled with meetings and collaborations with Japanese partners.

This is Mr. Luong Minh Sam's “n” business trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, with a singular goal: to connect job opportunities and pave the way for the development of Dong A University students.

Tireless Pathway Creator
This trip involves continuous travel between various cities in Japan to engage with partners, aiming for collaboration agreements and the implementation of internship and employment programs for students.

One key agreement signed was between Dong A University and Farmdo Group, which owns companies such as Farm Do, Farm Club, Every Farm, and Farm Land. According to the signed document, the internship program will be available for students in Food Technology and Electrical Engineering at Dong A University starting in 2025.

The collaboration also marks a significant advancement in realizing the electric-agriculture project, which is a crucial part of the sustainable development plan that combines solar technology with agriculture in Dak Lak province in the near future. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity while promoting renewable energy, contributing to the region's economic growth and environmental sustainability.

Alongside the signing of the agreement, the Dong A University delegation also visited Farmdo's advanced agricultural model in Gunma Prefecture. This notable location exemplifies the integration of traditional agriculture with solar energy, utilizing solar panels on greenhouses to grow clean, high-quality produce. This visit provided valuable insights into innovative agricultural practices that combine sustainability with modern technology.

This included meetings with TOA Industrial Company, which specializes in manufacturing components and chassis for Toyota and Subaru, operating five factories in Gunma Prefecture and two in the United States. The discussions focused on the potential for collaboration in accepting automotive engineering students from Dong A University for short-term internship programs within TOA’s system. This strategic partnership is the next step in Dong A University's efforts to enhance career development and job opportunities for students in Japan's automotive sector.

In addition to engaging with corporate partners across various industries, the "employment mentor" from Dong A University also visited and worked with several universities in Japan, further broadening the scope of collaboration and exchange opportunities for students.

These included open and promising meetings between Dong A University and Kyoaigakuen Maebashi International University, Gunma Sogo International Industrial Technology School, as well as visits to Garejji International Technical University, which encompasses a Japanese language school, an automotive college, and an international business college. The delegation also met with Chuo Karejji Group, which owns several colleges and vocational schools specializing in IT and aesthetics.

These interactions aim to foster academic collaboration, enhance student exchange programs, and create opportunities for internships and employment in Japan, further strengthening the ties between Dong A University and educational institutions in Japan.

Comprehensive and In-Depth Connections

The seminar titled “Japanese Engineer Internship Program – Dong A University Model” took place on September 24, attracting over 40 companies from Gunma Prefecture, Japan.

As representatives from various industries, the partners attending the seminar expressed keen interest and praised the quality workforce training model that Dong A University is implementing in close collaboration with Japanese partners. Alongside numerous questions regarding the operational details of the internship model for students in Gunma Prefecture, the businesses also conveyed their desire to advance cooperation with Dong A University to implement the internship program immediately following the seminar.

During this trip, Mr. Luong Minh Sam also visited strategic partners with whom previous collaboration agreements were established, aiming to promote new and comprehensive initiatives. Meetings were held with groups such as 7-Eleven, Kameda, Care Partner, Nippon Travel, and TAS Design Group – Grib Lap, focusing on advancing training programs and preparing students for internships and employment within these corporations. The goal is to gradually increase both the number of participants and the depth of quality investment each year.

Additionally, he visited the Dong A University representative office in Tokyo, Japan, to strengthen connections with local partners as part of his busy itinerary. These efforts reflect a commitment to expanding opportunities for students and enhancing the university's presence in Japan.
