Dong A University Students "Kick Off" the New Year with Gold and Bronze Medals at Korean Speaking Contest

On February 27th, two Dong A University students - Tran Thi Anh Nguyet and Nguyen Thi Xuan Ni - won the Gold and Bronze Medals in the Final Round of the Korean Speaking Contest 2024 in Vietnam - Gyeongsangbuk Province - organized by Korea.

 

 

With the topic "Gyeongsangbuk in My Eyes", Tran Thi Anh Nguyet and Nguyen Thi Xuan Ni excelled in the preliminary round to enter the top 12 contestants who competed in the final round of the Korean Speaking Contest in Vietnam - Gyeongsangbuk 2024 held in Hue in the afternoon of February 27.
In the final round, not only did they impress with their fluent Korean language skills, but Anh Nguyet and Xuan Ni also won over the judges with their confidence and public speaking skills.
Preparing their speeches meticulously, the Dong A University students took turns delivering "explosive" performances and won the Gold and Bronze Medals overall.

Accordingly, the Gold Medal was awarded to Tran Thi Anh Nguyet for her speech "Hahoe talcum - Traditional Korean Mask Dance".
It is known that before winning the Gold Medal at the Korean Speech Contest Vietnam - Gyeongsangbuk-do 2024, Anh Nguyet also had several impressive achievements such as Topik 5 Korean language certificate, Encouragement Prize at the "3rd Korean Arts Discovery Contest", Third Prize at the "10th Korean Speech Contest in Vietnam", etc.
Tran Thi Anh Nguyet is currently a third-year student at the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, Dong A University. It is known that Nguyet is also an active student in cultural and artistic activities inside and outside the school.


Accompanying Anh Nguyet at the contest this time, second-year student Nguyen Thi Xuan Ni also won the Bronze Medal.

Also known for her impressive achievements, Xuan Ni modestly said that winning the prize at this contest was also a very lucky thing for her.
When she learned about and prepared for the preliminary round in just nearly 2 days, she was not afraid at all, on the contrary, the petite girl was determined to complete it and was called to the final round. With a passion for Korean culture, Xuan Ni confidently chose the topic "Kim Gwang Seok's Art Path in Daegu" and won over the judges.

Receiving the support and encouragement directly from Dr. Phan Hoang My Thuong - Dean of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, both girls felt proud and lucky. Along with the opportunities and support from the university, the awards of Anh Nguyet and Xuan Ni are not only meaningful personal achievements but also a source of inspiration for all Dong A University students on the path of pursuing their studies.
