As part of this agreement, Dr. Ito will officially become an advisor to Vice President Luong Minh Sam, serving as a "career mentor" for Dong A University students starting in October 2024.
Dr. Ito will assist in connecting and promoting collaborative efforts between Dong A University and universities and research institutes in Japan, with a focus on medical training and fields related to health and life sciences.
With extensive experience in surgical training for students, as well as young doctors in various countries (including the UK, Australia, etc.), Dr. Ito has served as Deputy Director of Seishinkai Keiwa Hospital (now Nishiyamado Keiwa Hospital) since Heisei 21.
Additionally, as an expert in gastroenterology, surgery, and endoscopy of the stomach and colon, Dr. Ito will provide specialized advice and directly teach practical courses for future medical doctors at Dong A University according to the training curriculum in the Faculty of Medicine.
Thus, alongside the experienced medical staff in the faculty, future medical doctors at Dong A University will have even more opportunities to learn and develop professionally with prestigious international experts through the university's deep international collaborations.
