However, when she just heard the news that she had received a 100% scholarship from Wakayama National University, Minh Châu still modestly said that this was a lucky thing when she was selected as one of the two students who had the opportunity to study at a large university in Japan - the school that language students like Châu aspire to.
“When I saw my classmate Nguyen Truong Duy - a student who is studying at this school with a 100% scholarship from the Japanese Government, I also dreamed of coming here. And I am very happy that that dream has come true,” Châu shared.
To achieve this achievement, according to Châu, it is based on the fact that you arrange to balance between studying and participating in activities. During the process of studying and training at Dong A University, Châu actively improved her language skills and many skills through speaking contests inside and outside the school. In particular, having many opportunities to participate in translation support at festivals and seminars organized by the school, her Japanese language skills also improved significantly.

Previously, Thai Son was awarded a scholarship by the Vietnam - Japan Cultural and Sports Exchange Association (Favija) to study and experience 2 weeks in Japan when he was an excellent candidate with the First Prize in the 2nd Cherry Blossom Cup Japanese Speech Contest.
“During the time I went to Japan with the Favija Association scholarship, I had the opportunity to meet and talk with the seniors who are studying and working here. Their sharing helped me understand more about life and love the Japanese Language & Culture major that I am pursuing.” Therefore, that experience was also a source of motivation for Thai Son to have more motivation to find opportunities to return to this beautiful country.
The Japanese language certificate with N2 when he was a third-year student also showed the ability and determination of this hard-working student. Then, together with a group of Japanese language students from Dong A University, Thai Son continued to win the First Prize in the Presentation Contest on the theme “Our Dream of Connecting Vietnam - Japan” at Kanagawa Day 2023 - Kanagawa festival in Da Nang 2023.
