Tottori - the 6th Japanese locality cooperates with Dong A University on internship and work program for students

On November 29, Shojinfukushikai Social Welfare Company, situated in Tottori, Japan signed the MOU with Dong A University in terms of carrying out the internship and work program in Japan for students majoring Nursing since 2020.

This is the first enterprise of Tottori joining the international job value chain for human resources of Nursing with Dong A University, as well as the representative of this province to examine the similarity of Nursing curriculum before the similar upcoming collaborations with other healthcare centers will be promoted.

According to Mr. Luong Minh Sam - Vice Rector of Dong A University, since the cooperation on human resource supply with Yokohama city (Japan) signed and promoted from August, 2018, there have been other 4 cities of Japan connecting and collaborating with Dong A University following this model, namely Chiba, Fukuoka, Maebashi, Shizuoka and now it is Tottori.

The authority of these cities and provinces will be responsible for organizing and directly managing the recruitment of students majoring Nursing of Dong A University who take part in paid internship program in 9 months and work for healthcare centers belonging to Social Welfare Association in Japan. Along with the increasing number of recruited students, there is also support regarding accommodation and living expenses for students joining this program.

Mr. Sam also said that there is an increasing demand of learning Japanese among students. The number of students learning Japanese is now growing monthly because of their passion to do internship and work in Japan.
