On April 19th, representatives from 7-Eleven Group (Japan) interviewed and accepted UDA students in Business Administration for 1 year paid-internship in Japan
Receiving internships from the first year at UDA
Among three students who received the first internship, Ngo Thi Huong Xuan is just first year student while Huynh My Hoang and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy are third year students. They are excellent in their professional skills, Japanese language skills and working attitude.
On July 2018, they will go to work in the system chain of 19,423 7-Eleven stores in Japan. They will not only have a chance to be trained in the CVS which are the common product management model but also be trained to become valuable management resource to organize and operate the stores, using modern management technology for the global store system.
After 1 year of internship, learning and participating with Japanese business management methods including customer analysis, product strategy analysis, global order management and logistics and distribution management. These students will become the core resource and the startup owners for the projects in Vietnam after completing the internship.
Outstanding in skills, Japanese and working attitude
After the interview, Mr. Lu Wang, International Human Resource Development representative of 7-Eleven (Japan) said: "During the interview, 7-Eleven (Japan) selected 3 outstanding students from UDA to go to Japan as trainees. We were surprised by their Japanese ability. Even though they have been learning Japanese for only a year they were very confident and well responded to interview questions. In addition to Japanese, UDA students have clear career goals and great aspirations to pursue the goals. To train students achieving this level, we think it is a great effort from UDA, following the world trending in educational methods. We believe that 7-Eleven and UDA have a good foundation for long-term cooperation in the future. We also want to strengthen its strategic relationship by supporting in job seeking for graduates. We want to contribute in the educational quality and training to bring the high qualified and skilled human resource to work at 7-Eleven and other companies."
Thousands of available jobs after graduation
“Japan is still a promising market for Vietnamese labor. The labor demanding in Japanese enterprises, especially in the service sector, nursing, food technology, automotive engineering, and electrical engineering increases every year.”, Mr. Luong Minh Sam, vice vector of UDA, who worked as Representative Office of Da Nang City in Tokyo many years, said.
Understanding the trend, UDA boldly find the international job market, with a breakthrough in Japan job market. The first batch of UDA students working in Japan has received a positive evaluation from the employers. In addition, Business Administration program at UDA has not also attractive curriculum but also many cooperation projects in training and recruitment with both domestic and international reputable partners.
UDA and LEOC Group (Japan) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on training, improving Japanese skills, professional skills and recruiting UDA students to study and work in Japan with at least 200 students per year. At the same time, professional programs in Japan are also available for UDA graduates, especially in Business Administration, Nursing, IT, Electrical Engineering, and Hospitality Management who have Japanese language equivalent to N2 level to become a full-time employee at service chains in LEOC and its partnership companies in Japan.
The remarkable efforts and results for the cooperation in human resource between UDA and many Japanese enterprises, especially for the internship and work in resort systems, Sukiya restaurant, and big corporates including 7-Eleven Japan, Route-Inn, Zensho, LEOC, and Nursing programs at Nanakamado and Aoyama in Japan, were highly appreciated by Mr. Shinichi Asazuma from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam in March 2018.
Up to now, more than 100 UDA students from the Faculty of Nursing, Business Administration and Tourism have been accepted into paid internship and work in Japan as the result from the cooperation. At the end of December 2017, the first batch of UDA students in Hospitality Management worked at Grandvrio Resort Hotel, one of 265 hotels from Route-Inn, in Ishigakijama (Okinawa, Japan). This is a result from the cooperation agreement between UDA and Route-Inn Group (Japan), signed in August 2015 and officially launched since 2016. In addition, since 2018, the Zensho Group will recruit 200 UDA Hospitality Management students who achieve N4 Japanese level to do paid internship at the Sukiya restaurants every year.
