To strengthen collaborations both domestically and internationally aimed at developing the semiconductor science and engineering sector, Dong A University recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Tecotec Group and K&H MFG (Taiwan) on August 28.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Ngoc Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tecotec Group, and Mr. Winner Wu, along with Mr. Jamie Hung, Business Director of K&H MFG, were in attendance.

Representing Dong A University were Mr. Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the University Council, along with faculty members, staff, and leaders from various departments and faculties.

During the meeting, Mr. Luong Minh Sam warmly welcomed the leadership of Tecotec Group and K&H MFG for their visit and collaboration. The university administration expressed their honor in receiving the interest of these companies, which led to this significant signing. Through this partnership, Dong A University aims to create an optimal learning environment for students, particularly in the semiconductor field.

Tecotec Group, with a focus on developing human resources for the semiconductor industry in Vietnam, has been collaborating with K&H MFG since late 2023 to build a comprehensive solution for training and research in this sector. This includes training programs, IC design and simulation software, as well as research and testing laboratories.

Meanwhile, K&H MFG is recognized as one of the world’s leading training equipment manufacturers, providing products ranging from circuit boards, accessories, and testing tools to training equipment in various fields such as electronics, mechanics, data transmission, and computer control, among others.

Dong A University Signs Cooperation Agreements with Tecotec Group and K&H MFG

Dong A University, along with Tecotec Group and K&H MFG, has agreed to share information and collaborate on activities aimed at developing a comprehensive training and practice solution in the semiconductor field. The goal is to train high-quality human resources, particularly semiconductor engineers who meet international standards for Da Nang city.

During this occasion, the parties exchanged specific details regarding the implementation of training programs in packaging, testing, and support for semiconductor training equipment in the near future. Representatives from Tecotec Group and K&H MFG expressed their agreement with Dong A University's proposals related to collaboration and the establishment of connections for cooperation with universities in Taiwan, including developing joint training programs and faculty exchange initiatives to enhance the quality of the workforce.

This important memorandum of understanding was officially signed at the Workforce Connection Conference for the Semiconductor Industry in Da Nang, part of SEMICON Danang 2024.

At the "Da Nang Semiconductor Day 2024" event on August 30, the Da Nang Semiconductor Design Research and Training Center and Dong A University also signed an MOU for collaboration and support in research, training, and development in the semiconductor field and artificial intelligence. Additionally, Dong A University and Ming Chuan University (Taiwan) signed a contract for training in semiconductor packaging and testing, following their previous agreement for high-tech workforce training established in March in Taiwan.
