UDA: Training human resources in tourism according to international standards

Following up the cooperation with HTMi Academy (Switzerland), UDA has recently reached an agreement to develop an international tourism training program with the William Angliss Institute (Australia) which is a new development chapter in the cooperation between UDA and WAI

Development of Vietnam-Australia international tourism training program

According to the agreement signed on March 16th, UDA and WAI would collaborate on training programs to prepare and provide high qualified human resources in tourism and to improve the evaluation system, to orientate the resources to practical skills in tourism and hospitality management, market research and international tourism management.

Previously, the cooperation program in Hospitality and English training between WAI and UDA was officially launched and operated since 2016. Students with hospitality management and English skills can easy work in Australia and the ASEAN countries to meet the demands for Central region in Vietnam.

In 2018, the program has been operating with the expected 200 trainees in standard classes of 15-18 students per class, starting from 2018 July at UDA.

Training program in tourism followed a 5-star standard

On April 4th, UDA and Vinpearl Joint Stock Company signed a formal cooperation agreement on the training program for second year students in tourism, followed a 5-star standard with the training from corporates. At the same time, UDA tourism students will be arranged OJT (on-job-training) programs at all establishments of Vinpearl in Vietnam.

With the 5-star standardized training opportunity, Tourism students can participate in training, practicing and developing career with hundreds of jobs available at Vinpearl in 2018, which will be gradually increased in the following years.

Extend to the international job markets

Currently, UDA students in Tourism, Nursing, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Business Administration have many opportunities to study, get paid internships and work at enterprises in Japan, Singapore and Germany. Thanks to the cooperation agreements between UDA and the strategic partners including Route-Inn Group, 7-Eleven, Zensho (Japan), Empire Group (Singapore).
