Dong A University collaborates on high-tech workforce training and supply for Foxlink

On February 20th, Dong A University signed an agreement with Foxlink Electronics Limited Liability Company in Da Nang (100% invested by Taiwan, China) to collaborate on training and supplying human resources in the high-tech sector.

Foxlink Corporation operates globally, serving top electronic corporations worldwide such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, HP, and others. The Foxlink Da Nang electronic factory project, with a registered capital of 135 million USD, stood out in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Da Nang in 2023.
According to Mr. Lin Kofan, representative of Foxlink Da Nang, Da Nang City is a focal point for future development as part of Foxlink's Southeast Asia strategy. The Foxlink factory in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park is equivalent in scale to its factory in Fujian, China. Currently, preparations for the factory's operation have been substantially completed, with all machinery and equipment already in Da Nang.
Initially, the factory will primarily produce equipment for Tesla, followed by components for Microsoft.
Mr. Lin Kofan highly regards the former students of Dong A University's Chinese Language program who are currently employed at Foxlink Da Nang. He emphasized, "In the future, with a substantial demand for personnel, up to 5,000 individuals, Foxlink Da Nang aims to continue collaborating to recruit high-quality personnel trained by Dong A University to work at the company, as well as to connect personnel through Dong A University to work for the company's partners."
With the agreement signed on February 20th, Foxlink becomes the next strategic partner among over 500 domestic and international enterprises collaborating with Dong A University on training and employment for its students. Collaboration with Foxlink Da Nang will enhance manufacturing engineering internship activities, professional internship semesters, and employment opportunities for students majoring in Chinese Language, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Automotive Engineering starting from 2024.
Furthermore, Foxlink Da Nang will send personnel to participate in training support activities within courses, such as career-oriented seminars, skill training sessions, sharing successful experiences, and prioritizing recruitment targets at Dong A University's annual job fair. The company also allocates numerous valuable scholarships each year to outstanding students in these fields.
"Both parties also aim to collaborate on several research and technology application projects, which are considered strengths of each side. As the training and recruitment agreement initiated in 2024, cooperation with Foxlink is expected to significantly enhance Dong A University's contribution to the resources of the enterprise, while providing an environment for student development and employment," said Associate Professor Ngo Quang Vinh, Vice Rector of Dong A University, during the signing ceremony.
He also mentioned that since the graduation ceremony in 2023, Foxlink has conducted four rounds of direct interviews for nearly 100 Dong A University graduates and engineers. Through this process, many students have been nominated for in-depth training in China, and Taiwan or participating in training courses in Vietnam to become the main workforce for the company.
