The strategic cooperation between Dong A University and Imagawa Group (Japan)

On October 2, the Imagawa Health and Welfare Group from Japan officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dong A University.

Imagawa Group has had a partnership with Dong A University for nearly 8 years, which has now expanded into various fields. This collaboration is seen as highly promising, not only opening career opportunities for students but also contributing to improving the quality of education. It will support the development of training programs for the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Nursing, and the Faculty of Pharmacy in the future, including the establishment of hospitals and clinics affiliated with Dong A University.
The signing ceremony between Dong A University and the Imagawa Health and Welfare Group took place in the afternoon of October 2. Both parties agreed to collaborate in training high-quality human resources for the health and healthcare sectors, including the faculties of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Medicine, in order to meet the growing demands of the healthcare market in Japan.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dong A University will annually provide 10-20 students from the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy to the Imagawa Group. Specifically, students from the Pharmacy program will have the opportunity to participate in an internship program at a leading pharmaceutical retail group in Japan.

Additionally, during the program, both parties discussed and proposed the possibility of establishing a representative office of Dong A University in Tokyo to strengthen the connection and collaboration between the two parties. Moreover, the group is also considering the creation of a scholarship fund from the University of Tsukuba for the faculty and student exchange program between Dong A University and its partners.

Dong A University will promote training for students in essential skills, including Japanese language proficiency (equivalent to N4 level), to meet the requirements of the Imagawa Group. Students participating in the internship program, which lasts from 6 months to 1 year, will have the opportunity to return to Japan for work under a specific visa category upon completing the program.
