Shizuoka is a province located in the Chubu region on the island of Honshu. The administrative center is Shizuoka city. This province is famous for Mount Fuji.

Shizuoka Prefecture is an area that extends along the Pacific coast in Suruga Bay. In the west, the district extends deep into the Japanese Alps.

In the east, it has a narrow coastline limited to the north by Mount Fuji and extends to the Izu Peninsula, a popular resort area in the south overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
