Nankai Project: More "Golden" Career Development Opportunities for Automotive Engineering Students at Dong A University

The cooperation agreement between Dong A University and Toyota Nankai Hai Phong Co., Ltd., signed on August 5, has opened up numerous career development opportunities both domestically and internationally for students in Automotive Engineering.

On August 5, 2024, the training and student exchange agreement was officially signed between Dong A University and Toyota Nankai Hai Phong. Both parties agreed to establish a model for receiving graduates and implementing "hands-on" training to support students in achieving Japanese language proficiency at level N3 and obtaining the TEAM GP certification before they begin working in Japan as engineers.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the University Council at Dong A University, and Mr. Egashira Masanori, General Director of Toyota Nankai Hai Phong.

During the meeting with the leadership of Dong A University, Mr. Egashira Masanori shared additional information about Toyota Nankai Hai Phong Co., Ltd., the official dealer of Toyota Vietnam.

Mr. Egashira also mentioned the Nankai's project, which focuses on recruiting automotive engineers to work in Japan. This initiative will collaborate with Dong A University to provide numerous job opportunities for students starting from this partnership.

The Nankai's project is designed to create a training program in Vietnam lasting 3 to 6 months to ensure that Vietnamese automotive engineers are ready to work immediately upon arriving in Japan. Students participating in the project will receive training in Japanese language, automotive maintenance skills, internal certification from the company, and Japanese culture.

Participants will have the opportunity to work at leading automotive companies in Japan. In addition to enjoying the same benefits as Japanese employees, students will have the chance to become permanent staff members of Toyota Corolla Nankai and work long-term in Japan. The program also guarantees job placement for engineers returning to Vietnam.

The signing of the training and student exchange agreement with Toyota Nankai Hai Phong will provide Dong A University students with numerous internship and long-term job opportunities at major companies in Japan as automotive maintenance engineers.

Additionally, the company will welcome Dong A University students for internship visits and final internships, while also sending specialized engineers to provide practical training and share their knowledge and real-world experience in automotive maintenance. This opportunity is not limited to Automotive Engineering students but will also extend to students in Electrical Engineering and Electronics at Dong A University.

During the meeting, the leadership from both sides discussed various upcoming activities to implement the recently signed cooperation agreement.

It is worth noting that Toyota Nankai Hai Phong Co., Ltd. is a 100% Japanese-invested company under the Toyota Corolla Nankai Group, established in Osaka. Strengthening the collaborative relationship between Dong A University and Toyota Nankai Hai Phong will leverage the strengths of both parties, helping students gain closer access to automotive engineering jobs in both Vietnam and Japan.
