A collaboration agreement for training programs and scientific research between Dong A University and George Mason University (USA) was signed on the morning of June 19 at Dong A University.
As a result, faculty and students at Dong A University will receive numerous new opportunities from this promising partnership with George Mason University (USA) in research, learning, and teaching.
Notably, present at the signing ceremony were Mr. Luong Minh Sam – Chairman of the Board of Dong A University, and Dr. Ajay Vinzé – Dean of the Costello School of Business at George Mason University.
According to the signed agreement, both parties will implement collaborative activities in training and research development. Specifically, Dong A University and George Mason University will send faculty members to participate in teaching activities, professional development research, and information exchange to enhance teaching effectiveness, student capabilities, and research at each institution. They will also organize conferences and short courses to promote scientific research activities.
In addition, activities for undergraduate and graduate student exchanges will be coordinated to increase opportunities for Dong A University students to obtain Mason academic degrees, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.
Representing George Mason University, Dr. Ajay Vinzé expressed his excitement about collaborating with Dong A University and affirmed his commitment to promoting international training activities to establish a strong relationship between the two institutions.
Both parties also discussed and proposed ways to expand international exchange programs and other undergraduate and graduate partnerships. Leaders from both sides addressed several topics, including scholarships, tuition fees, and priority policies for students enrolled in these programs.
It is known that George Mason University (GMU) is one of the leading research universities and the largest public university in Virginia. In 2022, GMU was ranked among the top 89 universities in the United States (according to QS Ranking, 2022). With many similarities in training fields and shared goals for teaching and scientific research development, the collaboration between Dong A University and George Mason University is expected to yield positive results through various specific and effective programs.
