The program has the participation of representatives of the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang, more than 30 businesses operating in the field of technology and IoT-related industries (Internet of Things), local colleges and more than 400 IT, Electrical and Electronics students of Dong A University who are passionate about career development in the IoT field.
The seminar "Vietnam IoT Platform Solutions in Higher Education" brought discussions on topics around IoT such as IoT market - Opportunities and challenges for human resources; IoT-based application development solutions in higher education; Importance of IPv6 for IoT; University digital transformation solutions,... With professional presentations and discussions, lively dialogues among researchers, businesses, and students, the workshop shared a more overview of the field panorama market, career opportunities, and challenges for students studying and researching IoT-related careers in Vietnam.
At the program, there was also a signing ceremony for cooperation in training, human resource supply, scientific research, and IoT education solution transfer between Vconnex and Dong A University. Closely linking training programs and practical requirements from businesses, with this agreement, Vconnex will transfer the IoT Education solution based on the Vconnex IoT Platform to Dong A University, thereby helping students more real IoT platform experience tool and can practice creating products from the application; development practical applications on Vietnam's IoT platform in accordance with diverse research and development needs. At the same time, the two sides also promote the development of activities in training, receiving internship and working personnel, scientific research, and technology transfer in the field of IoT.
“The vertical applications related to IoT in particular, as well as the IoT Platform in general, are still new industries in Vietnam. Meanwhile, the demand for IoT applications of users and the number of businesses developing IoT is increasing sharply, especially in the context that Vietnam is promoting the Government's policy of digital transformation from 2020. The scarcity of human resources to participate in the development of industries in IoT is a difficult problem for domestic business units, the reason is that there are currently not many training programs to teach about IoT platforms in Vietnam so that students can approach, study, research and have practical experience,” said a representative of Vconnex.
Within the framework of the event, the applied IoT exhibition space with 11 booths displaying IoT technology applications in Vietnam of IoT device manufacturers attracted hundreds of students to visit and experience products that have been applied on the IoT platform.
