On April 27, Dong A University and The Most of Beautiful Tree organization from South Korea officially signed a cooperation agreement to implement SDG education in universities and create a cultural space for students.
The agreement aims to promote the development of networks within the university and prepare for the future implementation of SDG education—education for sustainable development. Alongside co-organizing workshops, joint research, and campaigns to engage students in SDG education, both parties also aim to promote the mission of "Building a pioneering university in implementing SDG education" to respond to climate change.
During the signing ceremony, The Most of Beautiful Tree organization also provided a grant of 10 million VND for the "Zero Waste 2024 Fund" of the Department of Korean Language and Culture at Dong A University to carry out environmental activities.
As part of this second collaboration, on April 26 and 27, Dong A University students participated in activities within the Zero Waste initiative, which included two academic workshops, a vegan cooking experience, and an environmental cleanup around the campus area.
It is known that The Most of Beautiful Tree organization and Dong A University had previously signed a cooperation document aimed at sustainable development and establishing environmentally friendly infrastructure in August 2021.
Since the signing, many programs have been implemented for students, such as project orientation activities for environmental protection led by experts from The Most of Beautiful Tree, developing project websites, and participating in hands-on cleanup programs, including waste disposal and beach cleanups.
