On March 12, the signing ceremony of Cooperation for the Franchised program in Business between Dong A University (Da Nang) and Liverpool John Moores University (UK) took place online.

This is the first 100%-internationally-associative program between Liverpool John Moores University and a university in Central Vietnam. The program transferred with a scale of up to five majors between Liverpool John Moores University and Dong A University is a milestone for the development of cooperation after the memorandum was signed by the two universities in the framework of Educational Cooperation and Investment Forum between Vietnam and the UK.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Ian G. Campbell - Rector of Liverpool John Moores University emphasized: "Dong A University and Liverpool John Moores University have many goals and core principles in common to provide high-quality, major-focused training programs that aims to meet the needs of domestic and international employers. Five programs delivered to Dong A University are modernly designed to educate professional global citizens with internationally recognized qualifications and expertise."

Attending the signing ceremony between Dong A University and Liverpool John Moores University, Ms. Emily Hamblin, British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City and the UK Commercial Director in Vietnam, said that the UK and Vietnam has been developing the strategic partnership for over 10 years and is increasingly being strengthened in many areas. In particular, education is the core foundation of this relationship having been enhanced by supporting the quality of higher education for Vietnam.

"The signing ceremony of cooperation today between the two universities indicates a significant development of the UK higher education in Vietnam and for the growth and expansion of international education opportunities in Vietnam", Ms. Emily Hamblin, British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City said.

MA. Luong Minh Sam - President and Vice Rector of Dong A University said: "In 2021, the program will start with the first enrollment and training courses with only 30 students per class of a major. In the long term, Dong A University will continue to cooperate with Liverpool John Moores University on Information Technology, Nursing, Master programs and so on. Students would have more opportunities to access valuable university programs from the UK."

After the signing ceremony, Ms. Emily Hamblin, British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City and the UK Commercial Director in Vietnam also had an inspirational talk with more than 200 students of Dong A University about cultural exchange and international training.
