Eleven Training Programs at Dong A University Complete Quality Assessment

On November 25, Dong A University held a closing ceremony for the official quality assessment survey of 11 subsequent undergraduate training programs.

At the event, the external evaluation team from the Education Quality Accreditation Center of Hanoi National University presented a preliminary report on the results of the official survey of the 11 training programs and signed the minutes of the survey completion.
Through the preliminary and official surveys, which involved many serious working sessions, the quality and effectiveness were assessed using various methods: reviewing documentation, discussions, direct interactions with responsible staff, and direct and online interviews with groups of businesses, students, and lecturers, as well as site visits to observe and check the facilities supporting training and other activities at the university. As a result, the 11 officially surveyed programs include the following fields: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chinese Language, Hotel Management, Office Administration, Human Resource Management, Banking and Finance, and Psychology.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, Deputy Director of the Education Quality Accreditation Center, noted: “The results of the accreditation not only reflect evaluations based on specific criteria but also aim to serve the sole purpose of the university's development and enhance the quality of programs to better serve learners, in line with the university's strategic orientation.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, Deputy Rector of Dong A University, stated, “The accreditation process is not an endpoint; rather, the implementation of improvements and enhancing training quality is a continuous journey. Immediately following this external evaluation, the university will continue to improve and enhance quality not only for the 11 training programs recently accredited but also for all training programs at the university, especially focusing on self-assessment and continuing quality accreditation for 10 other programs, including: Pharmacy, Law, Korean Language, Japanese Language, Marketing, Restaurant and Food Service Management, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Multimedia Communication, and E-commerce, which is expected to be completed in the next year.”
“Dong A University has also completed the quality accreditation of its educational institution in two consecutive cycles: 2012-2017 and 2018-2023. In terms of quality, Dong A University has been evaluated by the expert delegation as demonstrating high responsiveness and exceeding the expectations set in the five-year development strategy and the vision for 2030,” Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet added.
Thus, as of now, in addition to the accreditation of educational quality, Dong A University has 11 programs meeting the quality accreditation standards (three programs that had previously achieved accreditation are: Business Administration, Accounting, and English Language), and 11 programs have completed the official assessment, accounting for over 50% of the total 43 undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the university.
