The opening of gPBL 2025 at Dong A University: An Opportunity for Learning and International Cultural Exchange

On February 17th, Dong A University officially launched the 2025 Global Project-Based Learning (gPBL) program, marking the beginning of a 10-day series of learning and cultural exchange activities for students from Dong A University, Shibaura Institute of Technology (Japan), and Ming-Chi University of Technology (Taiwan).

The 2025 Global Project-Based Learning (gPBL) program, themed "NETSOFT," officially launched at Dong A University on the morning of February 17th.
This year, the program attracted 27 students from the Department of Information Technology and the Department of Electrical-Electronics at Dong A University, alongside 32 international students from Shibaura Institute of Technology (Japan) and Ming-Chi University of Technology (Taiwan). This is a valuable opportunity for students from different countries to interact, learn through real-world projects, foster creative learning methods, and connect globally.

The opening ceremony was held with great excitement, featuring the participation of professors, lecturers, and both domestic and international students.

Earlier, on February 10th, students had an online meeting to get acquainted and prepare for the program's activities.
The 2025 Global Project-Based Learning (gPBL) program – NETSOFT provides an ideal environment for students to experience a learning approach that combines theory and practice. Accordingly, 59 students were divided into 11 discussion groups to agree on the project they would work on, beginning their research process right after the opening ceremony. In addition to academic activities, the program also includes exciting cultural exchange sessions. Through these, both Vietnamese and international students will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and familiarize themselves with different cultures.


It is known that this is the 5th time the gPBL program has been organized at Dong A University, and it continues to attract increasing attention from international students, serving as a bridge for cultural exchange between Dong A University students and those from international universities.

  • In 2020, the international student exchange program between Dong A University, Shibaura University, Fukuoka University, and Meishin University with the theme IoT - SICT 2020 was held in person at Dong A University.
  • In 2021, the gPBL program took place online, attracting more than 60 students from 5 universities in Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
  • In 2023, the program involved 18 students, along with professors, experts, and lecturers from Dong A University, Shibaura Institute of Technology, and Ming-Chi University of Technology, held from February 20th to 28th.
  • In 2024, the program attracted 34 students from Dong A University, Shibaura Institute of Technology, and Ming-Chi University, running from February 19th to 27th.
  • In 2025, the gPBL 2025 program drew 59 students, lasting from February 17th to February 26th.
