Để phục vụ số lượng lớn tân sinh viên và phụ huynh, Đại học Đông Á đã chủ động chuẩn bị cơ sở vật chất chỉn chu, khoa học từ sớm, giúp phụ huynh hạn chế được thời gian chờ đợi và tạo điều kiện để quá trình nhập học diễn ra thuận tiện và thoải mái nhất.
Ngay từ khu vực đón tiếp, tân sinh viên và phụ huynh đã được hướng dẫn từng bước chi tiết trong quá trình hoàn thiện hồ sơ, giải đáp những thắc mắc liên quan đến thủ tục và nhanh chóng kết nối với các bộ phận cần thiết. Đội ngũ cán bộ, giảng viên cùng sinh viên tình nguyện được bố trí tại nhiều vị trí, chủ động hỗ trợ phụ huynh và tân sinh viên trong suốt quá trình nhập học.
Đáng chú ý, Ban Giám hiệu nhà trường cũng trực tiếp có mặt để tiếp đón, trò chuyện, lắng nghe, nhằm giúp phụ huynh có thêm thông tin về môi trường học tập mà con mình sẽ gắn bó trong những năm sắp tới.
Cô Trần Thị Sơn Ca – phụ huynh tân sinh viên ngành Marketing đến từ Quảng Nam chia sẻ: “Đây là lần đầu tiên tôi đến trường nhưng cảm giác rất gần gũi và thân quen. Cơ sở vật chất nhà trường rất khang trang, các thầy cô và sinh viên tình nguyện hướng dẫn rất nhiệt tình, chu đáo. Ngay từ khi vừa đến trường, các bạn đã chủ động hỗ trợ, hướng dẫn tôi từng bước rất chi tiết, không để tôi phải tự tìm kiếm hay loay hoay trong quá trình làm thủ tục.”
Bên cạnh những hỗ trợ về công tác nhập học, Đại học Đông Á còn chuẩn bị nhiều khu vực tư vấn để giải quyết những nhu cầu thực tế của tân sinh viên ngay từ những ngày đầu như: chỗ ở, hoạt động và phong trào sinh viên, cơ hội và lộ trình thực tập trong và ngoài nước,…
Đặc biệt, trong nhiều năm qua, Đoàn Thanh niên Đại học Đông Á đã duy trì mô hình “Ngân hàng nhà trọ sinh viên” với hơn 6.000 chỗ ở, giúp kết nối tân sinh viên với các lựa chọn chỗ ở phù hợp ngay trong thời điểm nhập học. Không dừng lại ở việc cung cấp các thông tin chính xác về vị trí, hình ảnh, mức giá và thông tin liên hệ của chủ nhà trọ, đội tình nguyện viên còn được tổ chức thành các nhóm để tư vấn trực tiếp, hỗ trợ đưa đón phụ huynh và sinh viên đi xem phòng cũng như đồng hành trong những bước đầu để tân sinh viên làm quen và ổn định với chỗ ở mới.
Với những gia đình lần đầu đưa con đến Đà Nẵng học đại học, sự hỗ trợ này phần nào giúp giảm bớt nỗi lo về chỗ ở và sinh hoạt, để các bạn trẻ có thể nhanh chóng ổn định cuộc sống và bắt đầu việc học.
Bạn Lê Phạm Bảo Hân, tân sinh viên ngành Ngôn ngữ Trung hân hoan chia sẻ: “Từ Khánh Hòa ra Đà Nẵng nhập học một mình, ban đầu em khá lo lắng, nhất là việc tìm chỗ ở. May mắn là trong lúc làm thủ tục, em được các anh chị sinh viên Đại học Đông Á trong đội tình nguyện viên giới thiệu ký túc xá của thành phố. Các anh chị đã hỗ trợ em mọi khâu giấy tờ, hồ sơ để nộp cho phía ký túc xá, đồng thời còn trực tiếp đưa em đi xem phòng. Sự nhiệt tình, vui vẻ của anh chị đã khiến em cảm thấy yên tâm hơn nhiều. Giờ em đã có chỗ ở ổn định để bắt đầu năm học mới rồi!”
Với nhiều phụ huynh, ngày nhập học cũng là lần đầu trực tiếp quan sát môi trường mà con mình sẽ học tập và sinh hoạt trong những năm tới. To accommodate the large number of freshmen and parents, Dong A University made careful preparations for its facilities well in advance, ensuring an organized enrollment process, minimizing waiting time and creating the most convenient and comfortable experience possible for families.
From the reception area, freshmen and parents were guided step by step through the process of completing their enrollment documents. Staff members were also available to answer questions about procedures and quickly connect families with the relevant departments. University staff, lecturers and student volunteers were stationed at various locations throughout the campus, proactively providing support to parents and freshmen throughout the enrollment process.
Notably, the university's leadership was also directly present to welcome families, talk with parents and listen to their concerns, helping them gain a better understanding of the learning environment where their children will study and grow over the coming years.
Ms. Tran Thi Son Ca, a parent of a freshman majoring in Marketing from Quang Nam, shared: “This is my first time coming to the university but I immediately felt that the place was friendly and welcoming. The university's facilities are spacious and modern and the lecturers and student volunteers were very enthusiastic and thoughtful. From the moment I arrived, the students proactively supported me and guided me through every step in detail, so I never had to figure things out or feel confused while completing the procedures.”
In addition to enrollment support, Dong A University has also set up various consultation areas to address the practical needs of freshmen from their very first days at the university, including accommodation, student activities and organizations and internship opportunities and pathways both in Vietnam and abroad.
In particular, for many years, the Dong A University Youth Union has maintained a “Student Accommodation Bank” with more than 6,000 housing options, helping connect freshmen with suitable accommodation during the enrollment period. Beyond providing accurate information on locations, photos, prices and landlord contact details, student volunteers are organized into teams to offer direct consultation, accompany parents and students to view rooms and support them during the first steps of settling into their new accommodation.
For families bringing their children to Da Nang for university for the first time, this support helps ease concerns about accommodation and daily life, allowing young students to settle in quickly and focus on beginning their studies.
Lê Phạm Bảo Hân, a freshman majoring in Chinese Language, excitedly shared: “I came from Khanh Hoa to Da Nang by myself to enroll, so at first I was quite worried, especially about finding a place to stay. Fortunately, while completing my enrollment procedures, I was introduced by Dong A University student volunteers to the city's dormitory. The older students helped me with all the paperwork and documents needed for the dormitory and even took me there personally to view the room. Their enthusiasm and friendliness made me feel much more reassured. Now I have a stable place to live and can start the new academic year!”
