On April 22, Dong A University held a meeting and working session with Dr. Christopher Powers – Assistant Vice President from Towson University (USA).
The meeting opened up promising prospects for cooperation in education and research, while also creating more learning opportunities for students and enhancing the teaching capacity of Dong A University’s faculty members.
During the discussion, both sides explored various practical areas of collaboration, focusing on their respective strengths.
For students, proposed initiatives included exchange and internship programs—particularly in Nursing—as well as short-term courses aimed at increasing international exposure and improving professional skills.
For faculty members, opportunities to participate in Doctoral training programs in the field of Information Technology were also discussed, contributing to the enhancement of academic expertise and research capacity.
In addition, the two universities discussed the possibility of implementing 2+2 joint training programs in Business Administration, Information Technology, and Nursing. Both sides also emphasized promoting research collaboration and developing future academic partnership initiatives.
Notably, the two institutions agreed to initiate cooperation through a series of online workshops introducing academic programs, study opportunities, and international exchange activities for students.
This is considered an important first step, laying the foundation for a sustainable and effective partnership between the two universities in the future.
