The program was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Da Nang Department of Health, the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, directors of hospitals across the city, the leadership delegation of Hue Central Hospital, the Board of Rectors of Dong A University, as well as all lecturers of the Faculty of Medicine and Vietnamese and international students enrolled in the General Medicine training program at Dong A University.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, People’s Physician, Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep – Director of Hue Central Hospital stated:
“For medical education and training, cooperation between educational institutions and hospitals is extremely important. After studying at universities specializing in health sciences, students will undertake practical training at hospitals. Hue Central Hospital currently has the largest number of hospital beds in Vietnam, with 5,000 beds, providing students with a favorable environment for clinical practice and participation in medical examinations and treatment activities. Combining academic learning with practical training is the shortest path for students to acquire knowledge and achieve success. The cooperation agreement signed between Dong A University and Hue Central Hospital demonstrates close coordination in training human resources, especially high-quality healthcare personnel for the country.”
At the ceremony, People’s Physician, Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep – Director of Hue Central Hospital, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao – President of Dong A University, officially signed the cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, the two sides will collaborate in providing clinical practice training for Vietnamese and international medical students of Dong A University. In addition, professors, doctors, and medical specialists from Hue Central Hospital will participate in teaching medical students. The two institutions will also jointly conduct research projects, cooperate in publishing scientific papers and presenting reports at conferences, and coordinate the organization of academic exchange programs and international medical seminars to strengthen global integration.
