Tại đây, các thí sinh đã trải qua phần thi Đóng vai (Role Play) để trực tiếp xử lý các tình huống nghiệp vụ lễ tân bằng tiếng Việt trong môi trường khách sạn mô phỏng. Sau những màn thể hiện đầy tự tin và chuyên nghiệp, top 4 đội thi có điểm số cao nhất tiếp tục tranh tài ở phần thi xử lý tình huống bằng tiếng Anh, mang đến những phần thi ấn tượng về cả chuyên môn và năng lực ngoại ngữ.

Không chỉ là cơ hội để đánh giá lại kiến thức và kỹ năng module “Nghiệp vụ lưu trú” đã được học, cuộc thi còn là sân chơi để sinh viên thể hiện bản lĩnh nghề nghiệp, khả năng xử lý tình huống, kỹ năng giao tiếp, chăm sóc khách hàng cùng tác phong chuyên nghiệp của một lễ tân khách sạn thế hệ mới. Đây cũng là bước đệm quan trọng giúp sinh viên tích lũy kinh nghiệm thực tiễn, nâng cao năng lực làm việc và sự tự tin trước khi bước vào môi trường nghề nghiệp thực tế.

Chia sẻ về ý nghĩa của cuộc thi, ThS. Từ Lê Như Tâm – Phó khoa Du lịch Đại học Đông Á cho biết: “Dù chỉ mới là sinh viên năm nhất ngành Quản trị Khách sạn nhưng các em đã được trang bị đầy đủ kiến thức và kỹ năng nền tảng cần thiết để xử lý các tình huống nghiệp vụ một cách hiệu quả nhất có thể. Và sân khấu hôm nay chính là cơ hội để các bạn thử sức, rèn luyện sự tự tin cũng như nâng cao kỹ năng giao tiếp và xử lý tình huống trong thực tế.”

Đồng hành cùng cuộc thi không chỉ có đội ngũ giảng viên giàu kinh nghiệm của Khoa Du lịch mà còn có sự tham gia của ban giám khảo là các nhà quản lý, trưởng bộ phận tiền sảnh từ các khách sạn 4-5 sao hàng đầu tại Đà Nẵng. Đây đều là những chuyên gia đang trực tiếp quản lý, đào tạo và tuyển dụng nhân sự trong lĩnh vực Hospitality, mang đến những đánh giá khách quan cùng những chia sẻ thực tiễn quý giá về yêu cầu của doanh nghiệp.

Đồng hành cùng các thí sinh qua các phần thi, anh Lương Hồng Bảo Duy – Room Division Manager, Namia River Retreat đánh giá cao định hướng đào tạo của ngành Quản trị Khách sạn, Khoa Du lịch trường Đại học Đông Á. Tôi đánh giá rất cao định hướng đào tạo chú trọng tính thực tiễn và sự kết nối doanh nghiệp của ngành Quản trị Khách sạn. Chương trình giảng dạy không chỉ tập trung vào lý thuyết mà còn tạo điều kiện để sinh viên thực hành thông qua các cuộc thi và hoạt động trải nghiệm thực tế như thế này.”, anh Bảo Duy nhận định.

Chất lượng của dàn thí sinh năm nay cũng là yếu tố khiến anh Anh Bảo Duy bất ngờ. Anh cho biết: “Dù mới là sinh viên năm nhất nhưng các bạn rất tự tin, chững chạc và xử lý được nhiều tình huống khó mà đề bài đặt ra. Điều tôi đánh giá cao nhất là sự tự tin khi trình bày trước đám đông và năng lực ngoại ngữ của các bạn. Phần lớn các thí sinh đều có khả năng tiếng Anh rất tốt so với trình độ năm nhất.”

Đặc biệt, anh cho biết mạng lưới doanh nghiệp rộng khắp của nhà trường là điều kiện để sinh viên được tiếp cận môi trường làm việc thực tế ngay từ sớm, đồng thời góp phần bảo đảm cơ hội việc làm sau khi tốt nghiệp. Về phía doanh nghiệp, “việc tham gia các hoạt động thực tiễn như cuộc thi trên cũng giúp nhà tuyển dụng có thêm cơ sở đánh giá chất lượng sinh viên từng giai đoạn, từ đó tự tin hơn trong công tác tuyển dụng” – Anh Bảo Duy chia sẻ

Về phía anh Bảo Duy và Namia River Retreat, anh cho biết,“Đơn vị rất sẵn lòng đón nhận các bạn sinh viên đến thực tập ngắn hạn hoặc dài hạn. Sự liên kết này vừa tạo cho các bạn cơ hội làm quen với môi trường làm việc chuyên nghiệp từ sớm, vừa giúp doanh nghiệp có thêm nguồn dự trữ nhân lực chất lượng cao.”

Cuộc thi “Lễ tân khách sạn 2026” một lần nữa phản ánh chất lượng đào tạo nhóm ngành Hospitality theo định hướng thực tiễn, chú trọng vào kỹ năng thực hành và năng lực làm việc của ngành Quản trị Khách sạn, Khoa Du lịch và Đại học Đông Á nói chung.

Dong A University Hotel Reception Competition 2026 Final: First-Year Students Showcase Confidence and Professionalism

The seven outstanding finalist teams demonstrated impressive professional skills and confidently handled bilingual hospitality scenarios at the final round of the Dong A University Hotel Reception Competition 2026, held on June 11.

The contestants took part in a Role Play challenge, where they handled front office situations in Vietnamese within a simulated hotel environment. Following their confident and professional performances, the four highest-scoring teams advanced to the final round, where they addressed hospitality scenarios in English, showcasing both their professional competence and foreign language proficiency.

More than simply an opportunity to assess the knowledge and skills acquired in the Accommodation Operations module, the competition served as a platform for students to demonstrate their professional mindset, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, customer service competence and the professional demeanor expected of modern hotel receptionists. It also provided valuable practical experience, helping students strengthen their workplace readiness and confidence before entering the hospitality industry.

Sharing her thoughts on the significance of the competition, Ms. Tu Le Nhu Tam, Master., Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism at Dong A University, said: "Although they are only first-year students majoring in Hotel Management, they have already been equipped with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to handle front office situations effectively. Today's competition gives them an opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence and further develop their communication and real-world problem-solving skills."

Supporting the competition was not only the experienced academic staff of the Faculty of Tourism but also a judging panel consisting of managers and front office executives from leading four and five-star hotels in Da Nang. As professionals who are directly involved in managing, training and recruiting hospitality personnel, they provide objective evaluations as well as valuable insights into current industry expectations.

After observing the contestants throughout the competition, Mr. Luong Hong Bao Duy, Room Division Manager at Namia River Retreat, highly praised the educational approach of the Hotel Management program within the Faculty of Tourism at Dong A University. "I highly appreciate the program's practical training orientation and its strong connections with industry partners. The curriculum does not focus solely on theory but also creates opportunities for students to apply what they have learned through competitions and hands-on experiential activities like this one," Mr. Bao Duy commented.

The quality of this year's contestants also impressed him. "Although they are only first-year students, they demonstrated remarkable confidence, maturity and the ability to deal with many challenging situations presented during the competition. What impressed me the most was their confidence when speaking before an audience and their English proficiency. Most of the contestants displayed language skills that were exceptionally strong for first-year students." Mr. Bao Duy expressed.

Mr. Bao Duy also noted that Dong A University's extensive network of industry partners enables students to gain exposure to real working environments from an early stage while enhancing their employment opportunities after graduation.

From the employer's perspective, “participating in practical activities such as this competition also allows employers to better assess students' competencies at different stages of their studies, giving us greater confidence in future recruitment decisions," he shared.
