Dong A University was awarded the "emulation flag" from MOET for being excellently creative and innovative in teaching and training.

(Tổ Quốc) - Dong A university, the only private university in Da Nang, was awarded the “emulation flag” from Ministry of Education and Training Viet Nam (MOET) in 2018, which was also the second year Dong A university received the award consecutively.

This year, the ceremony was held on the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day occasion, which was also the incredible opportunity to be honorably recognized as an excellent educational institution in terms of being creative and innovative in teaching and training for the academic year of 2017 - 2018.

In the ceremony, Dr Nguyen Dinh Vinh gave a brief speech about the remarkable things Dong A has done and delivered so far: "Dong A university has been very proactive in connecting and developing relationships with both local and international partners, especially with multicultural and international enterprises overseas in Japan, Germany, Singapore...deeply and sustainably.

Scientific research activities along with standardized and high quality curriculum; the quality of lecturers has been upgraded significantly with 46 Doctors and among 143 master holding lecturers many have been on their ways completing PhD.

The university has been on the right track complying with the educational accreditation and examination duties, and academic collaboration relying on its leading faculties and programs in order to create groundbreaking remarks in developments. Moreover, enthusiastic and consistent investments in innovation, facilities, equipments, amenities, sport courts….from small corners like each clean lobby to attitudes and manners of students in saying hello to their teachers every morning...has told us a lot of beautiful and amazing things about this university, for Dong A university’s class has not easily been achieved in other universities."

Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao also spoke at the ceremony that only in 2018, Dong A university has signed another 23 cooperation with international partners, especially with Japaneses and Singaporeans, in providing 3000 positions of long-term employment, which shall be taken place in 2 phases. Firstly, students will have opportunities to do their internship in order to improve their language abilities and professional skills. Those students shall be considered to be offered long-term employment contracts.

Also, in 2018, Dong A has organized 6 international conferences with the participations of more than 100 experts coming from 10 different countries, and welcome 28 international delegations coming to establish relationships and discuss potential collaboration with Dong A.

Leading Japanese corporations like Route-Inn, giant commercial retailers 7-Eleven, Kameda Medical Group, Framgia, Global Design I.T, and Empire INC Holding from Singapore organized onsite interviews to Dong A students, and many have received students to come and work for them.

Especially, Yokohama city council also paid a visit to Dong A to sign a comprehensive cooperation in providing human resources for Yokohama city. There were 20 Dong A first students successfully interviewed and would be traveling to Yokohama to work. There are many more opportunities available for Dong A students many years to come. This has added to the total 186 students being offered contracts to work in Japan in 2018 only. Accordingly, more than 600 Dong A students have been studying Japanese, English, German at the moment, and trying to improve their both languages and professional skills to register for next programs.

In addition, in the ceremony, the close relationships and cooperation Dong A have established with both local and international enterprises brought scholarships to Dong A students sponsored and funded by those enterprises, which include 130 scholarship to improve Japanese language to N3/N4, 30 financial aids to disadvantaged students, 17 merit based scholarships...which amount to more than 2 billions Vietnamese Dong in this occasion only, out of the total of more than 5 billions in value Dong A have been awarded to its students annually.
